What causes it
Usually a broken cable, a worn roller, or a bump from a car. La Habra’s Santa Ana winds and summer heat don’t help — grit and dried-out rollers make a door bind and hop the track.
What we do
We take the tension off safely, reseat the door, replace the broken cable or roller, realign the tracks, and test the balance so it doesn’t happen again. Forcing an off-track door open usually turns a cheap fix into a bent-panel replacement — call us first.
Is it safe to use the door until you get here?
No — leave it as-is. Running it off-track can bend panels or snap a cable.
Can you fix a broken cable same-day?
Yes — cables and rollers are stocked on the truck.
My door is crooked/one side higher — what is that?
Usually a snapped cable on one side. Don’t operate it; we’ll rebalance it.
